Our Club
• The Souwest Jets entered the State netball competition in 1989
• We’ve produced both State and National netballers and look forward to developing many more • We do everything we can to help our local playing group realise their sporting dreams and ambitions
Our competition
• We have several teams playing in the West Australian Netball League, WA’s premier netball competition
• Our Perth-based Open team is sourced from South West players, while our Under 21’s and Under 18’s team live locally in towns including Manjimup, Busselton, Donnybrook and Bunbury
• Our Underpinning program provides the best opportunity for players to build their abilities

About us
• The Souwest Jets are a Netball Club representing the South West region of Western Australia
• In 2024, the Jets continue to be the only regional Western Australian club to hold one of the eight licenses to compete in the Gold Industry Group Western Australian Netball League (GIGWANL), the state’s Premier Netball Competition
• In its 35th year, the Jets will compete in the Women’s Open, Under 21’s and 18’s Futures Divisions
Our players
• Our local players already face the individual challenge of travel costs, and travel time, in order to compete at the elite level
• The direct cost for athletes to participate in GIGWANL for the 2024 Season in total is $1410
Players costs
• The annual costs compose:
• Club fees – covers team registration, court hire, training and equipment, team activities, club insurance, first aid and primary carers to name a few – $900
• Netball WA Membership fees and insurance – $100
• Uniform costs – playing dress, warm-up shirt, training singlet, hoodie and jacket – $410
• Support from local businesses through sponsorship eases some of the financial pressure they face

Sponsorship is sought to support the Club in its endeavour to mould our players into not only good netballers but more importantly good members of the community.

Whilst the club has worked hard to establish its current position, the challenge is to maintain and improve on our current status.
